Who should do this training?

The Certificate IV in Leadership and Management qualification is pitched at those with formal management responsibility (usually at the first tier of management). They may have existing qualifications and technical skills, but require skills or recognition in supervisory functions. They typically report to a manager, provide leadership and guidance to others and take responsibility for effective functioning and performance of the team and its work outcomes. Job titles relevant to this qualification include coordinator, supervisor and team leader.

How long does the course go for?

15 days total duration spread over four separate modules. There is no set timeframe for attending the modules. However, most students are comfortable undertaking the program over 12 – 18 months.

What is the cost?

The total cost for attending all of the four modules is $3650.  However, payment is made on a module-by-module basis.  You only pay for the modules you attend.

The above price is for our public workshops in our Perth office. Special rates can be negotiated for programs conducted by Training Services Australia on behalf of our clients, exclusively for their personnel.

Where are the training locations?

Our public workshops are located in Perth at our training centre. We can also offer in-house client specific training overseas, throughout regional Australia as well as all capital cities including Darwin, Adelaide, Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Canberra.

Are there any course pre-requisites?

No qualifications are necessary to participate in this course. However, a reasonable level of reading and writing ability is required, as well as reasonable computer skills.  To complete the assessment component of this course, you will need to be working in an organisation where you have responsibility for leading and supervising others.

Is this qualification current?

The Certificate IV in Leadership and Management (BSB42015) is current, having replaced the BSB40812 Cert IV in Frontline Management on 25 March 2015.

What are the assessment requirements?

The Certificate IV in Leadership and Management is competency-based. This means that in order to attain the qualification, you need to do more than just attend the training. You also need to provide evidence that you have understood the training and applied it in the workplace.
