Health and Safety Representative Course

About the course

This five-day course is designed for newly elected Health and Safety Representatives. It provides the knowledge and practical skills required to perform the functions of an HSR under Western Australian work health and safety legislation.

Duration: Five days

Delivery: Face-to-face

Certification: A Certificate of Attendance will be issued on successful completion.

During the course, you will learn about:

  • the Western Australian WHS legislative framework
  • the role and functions of Health and Safety Representatives
  • consultation and issue resolution
  • monitoring workplace risks
  • workplace inspections and incident investigation
  • Provisional Improvement Notices
  • directing unsafe work to cease.
